Recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury
3/27/2012
"I was racing dirt bikes up in Palatka, Florida, about fifty miles south of Gainesville," recalls Eric Carrier. "It was a forty-mile race through the woods, about two hours long.
"I fell off the bike, and my helmet smacked a tree. When it did that, it cracked my helmet and I got a right frontal lobe injury to my brain."
Eric was flown to Shands Hospital and spent two weeks in their intensive care unit. Eventually, he was able to be released for rehab to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota
