“Getting patients back to their active lives is our mission at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota,” said Marcus Braz, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota CEO. “We are privileged to be a part of the local Sarasota community and National Rehabilitation Week provides a great opportunity to honor how much our patients and hospital have accomplished over the last 25 years. We welcome the community to join in our celebration and learn more about the high quality care our hospital provides to those recovering from injury or illness.”
National Rehabilitation Week was established in 1976 to create awareness of people with disabilities and promote the benefits of rehabilitation. In 1990, a presidential proclamation designated the third week of September as National Rehabilitation Week, which has grown to include more than 7,000 organizations.
